Systems Under Pressure * Sawangwongse Yawnghwe

Yawnghwe builds dense fields of names, symbols and trajectories where politics, memory and personal history converge. His panels operate like open circuits: networks of influence, violence and allegiance that flicker between legible structure and overwhelming noise. Nothing is stable; alliances mutate, meanings slide, and the viewer is left navigating a terrain in perpetual reconfiguration. These works compress decades into a single surface, dissolving the separation between what has happened and what is happening. Rather than illustrating events, they expose the atmosphere that surrounds them — the tension, the uncertainty, the unresolved undercurrent that shapes collective life.
