Cyborg Text designates the moment at which textuality can no longer be understood as exclusively human expression or purely symbolic form. Every contemporary text emerges through layered couplings among bodies, devices, standards, interfaces, databases, machine learning systems, cables, servers, extraction zones, and maintenance labor. The screen conceals an extended material economy: rare minerals, data centers, logistics, moderation work, training corpora, cooling systems, electrical grids, and invisible operations of selection and optimization. Yet the cyborg condition is not only diagnostic. It also marks a site of intervention, because once text is understood as a hybrid assemblage, its seams become legible. Glitch, refusal, counter-protocol, federation, and alternative infrastructures begin to appear as textual strategies rather than external supplements. In this sense, text becomes not merely an object of critique, but a contested operational environment. As the tenth and final node of the decalogue, Cyborg Text gathers the whole sequence into a composite regime. Material trace persists as substrate, state apparatus as classification, religious mediation as canonical authority, technical object as reproducibility, semiotic field as interpretive instability, media apparatus as conditioning, code and execution as operativity, distributed flow as circulation, and invisible grammar as protocol environment. The terminal point of the series is not closure but condensation.

Cyborg Text names the regime in which writing no longer appears as trace, authority, object, field, apparatus, execution, flow, or protocol taken separately, but as a hybrid assemblage in which all those regimes persist and are reconfigured under contemporary technical, logistical, and extractive conditions. In this regime, text is simultaneously semantic, machinic, material, political, and ecological. What appears as a smooth textual surface is inseparable from code execution, platform circulation, protocol governance, energy consumption, data extraction, mineral substrate, and distributed labor. Text here becomes a composite formation in which language is entangled with infrastructure, automation, and planetary supply chains. References — Haraway, D. A Cyborg Manifesto; Russell, L.
