Políticas negras en la ciudad, curated in alliance with the CCCB and led by AbdouMaliq Simone and Asha Best, where black urban experience is no longer a marginalised residue but a central epistemological lens to read, intervene and reimagine the city as a site of political possibility, shaped by everyday tactical knowledges, narrative fabulations and embodied resistance; in this context, participants such as Nadia Yala Kisukidi, Saul Williams or the Sindicato Popular de Vendedores Ambulantes articulate a radically relational urbanism, where precarity does not erase autonomy but intensifies modes of collective world-building, allowing for alternative futures to germinate precisely in those zones deemed unstable by global capitalism; alongside this, the film programme Visiones de Panáfrica continues to displace geographic fixities by offering a nomadic cinema, culminating in the screening of L'Arbre de l'authenticité by Sammy Baloji, which interrogates the construction of African authenticity from within its postcolonial distortions; equally, the guided tours conducted by Agnes Essonti Luque, Albert Gironès and Eva Paià reject the didactic model and create a dialogic platform where visitors become co-producers of meaning, embodying the exhibition’s ethos of decentralised authorship; the publication Arte e imaginarios políticos para la construcción de un planeta negro extends this gesture, compiling critical essays that serve as discursive tools for those seeking to engage with the socio-political stakes of the show; for Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA, this constellation of actions anchors Barcelona as a node of global resistance, where the museum no longer functions as a neutral container but as a performative site of anti-racist, antifascist and anticolonial articulation.
