Socioplastics is a long-term research framework initiated in 2008 by Anto Lloveras (1975), Spanish architect, theorist, artist and curator trained at ETSAM (Madrid). Emerging from early professional engagement with large-scale architectural and urban projects in the Netherlands, the framework reconceptualises architecture, art and urbanism as metabolic and epistemic infrastructures rather than discrete objects or disciplines. Its operative core is an indexed mesh of interlinked nodes—an evolving corpus designed to generate structural continuity through cross-reference, recursion and accumulation. Within this architecture, semantic hardening and citational commitment function as instruments of epistemic resilience, stabilising terminology and reinforcing long-term coherence. Socioplastics advances a sovereign, post-autonomous model of practice in which spatial production becomes a relational and cognitive process embedded in dynamic informational systems.
