The practice of Anto Lloveras articulates a singular trajectory in which architecture, conceptual art, and epistemological inquiry converge into a unified research field designated Socioplastics. Trained at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid and TU Delft, Lloveras progressively displaced conventional architectural production toward a protocol-driven methodology wherein built form, performative gesture, textual publication, and digital archiving function collectively as epistemic infrastructures. Within this framework architecture ceases to operate primarily as construction and instead becomes a generative system capable of producing knowledge, relational dynamics, and cultural agency under conditions of contemporary instability. The long-running blog SOCIOPLASTICS * Sovereign Systems for Unstable Times constitutes the principal operational interface of this field, accumulating more than a thousand numbered nodes that form a recursive intellectual terrain rather than a linear archive. Parallel institutional and curatorial initiatives reinforce this distributed structure: LAPIEZA, founded in 2009, operates as an experimental exhibition platform orchestrating hybrid onsite–online programmes, while Urbanas, developed with Paula Lloveras, explores critical urban research and intervention.
