ThermalJustice - Achille Mbembe - Climate becomes spatial power and civic obligation. A political operator for heat, shade, exposure, vulnerability and public infrastructure - Socioplastics - LAPIEZA-LAB - Anto Lloveras

ThermalJustice is genealogically tied to Achille Mbembe because exposure, breath, vulnerability and livable conditions are political matters. In Socioplastics, heat is not treated as a neutral environmental datum or as a merely technical urban problem. It is spatial inequality distributed through streets, bodies, housing, shade, water, pavement and infrastructure. ThermalJustice brings climate into the field as civic obligation and design ethics. It insists that shade, canopy and thermal relief are not secondary comforts but conditions of public life. Its internal companion is CanopyMandate, where shade is understood as duty rather than amenity. The operator draws on Mbembe’s Necropolitics (2019), and is situated within Lloveras’ Socioplastics Project Index (2026), https://antolloveras.blogspot.com/p/socioplastics-project-index.html.
