Stonebar—Fire (2020) situates the bar not as furniture but as a retrofuturist social machine, an object poised between ritual surface, architectural fragment and speculative commons. Installed within the Negradas microforest, the work draws its force from a dense vegetal constellation—Japanese maple, ginkgo, lemon, laurel, vine, pear, hackberry, walnut, magnolia, cherry, plum, quince, holly, jasmine, rose, wisteria, ivy and hydrangea—against which the bar becomes both counter-form and gathering device. Its title fuses mineral permanence with combustion, suggesting a structure where conviviality, elemental intensity and ecological attention meet. As a case study in Lloveras’s socioplastic practice, Barra Retrofuturista converts the rural garden into a micro-infrastructure of encounter, where art, shelter and ceremony remain deliberately unfinished. Ultimately, the piece proposes that future social space will not emerge from technological spectacle alone, but from modest assemblies of stone, fire, plants and affection. Lloveras, A.
