First articulated at the I International Congress of Ecological Humanities at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2023, it does not simply invoke the lighthouse as emblem; it decomposes it into protocol. The beacon is redistributed. Illumination becomes networked. What was once a solitary vertical object at the edge of land becomes a dispersed system of care across metropolitan and planetary scales. In doing so, Anto Lloveras and E. Lorenzo reposition ecological humanities within an operational urbanism. The manifesto refuses both nostalgic monumentality and abstract planetary rhetoric. Instead, it proposes the Trans-Lighthouse as a migratory condenser—capable of embedding in voids, peripheral sites, and overlooked interstices—where signaling is not only optical but affective, metabolic, and relational.
