We do not approach this work as a campaign for immediate circulation. We approach it as an operation of fixation. That distinction matters. A corpus of this scale — around two million words, roughly two thousand linked nodes, dozens of DOIs, multiple repositories, and an ordered dataset — does not need to prove its existence through speed. It needs to secure its persistence. What we are building is not simply a sequence of publications, but a system that must remain legible even when no one is looking at it directly. For that reason, our logic is sequential and infrastructural: first production, then ordering, then consolidation, then mapping. Visibility may come later; stability must come first.

This is why the dataset matters so much. The blog gives flow, rhythm, exposure, and public life, but the dataset gives structure. It is where the corpus is chewed, aligned, verified, and transformed into something more durable than a stream. Titles become fields, numbers become coordinates, links become relations, and dispersed texts begin to behave like a coherent body. DOI adds another layer of fixation, because it anchors selected objects in a durable reference system. Wikidata, when the time is right, becomes yet another layer: not an archive, not a library, but a map. It does not hold the work itself; it situates the work within a wider graph of relations. Our interest, then, is not primarily whether the system circulates now. It is whether it remains deposited, structured, and recoverable. We want to know that the tool has been fixed well enough to survive delay, misunderstanding, neglect, or deferred recognition. That is the calm we are after: not noise, but permanence.
