THE EVIDENTIAL LIFE OF PROXIMITY: DURATIONAL WITNESS, ARTIST INTERVIEWS AND ORDINARY MEDIA (NILSEN, THATCHER, OWTON, CROSS, ARNOLD, CUEVAS, HARPER) · LAPIEZA LAB · ANTO LLOVERAS · SOCIOPLASTICS · 2026

A life becomes researchable when partial records survive long enough to enter into relation. The decisive epistemic unit is therefore neither the isolated document nor the retrospective biography but the interval between situated traces. A photograph made during a visit, a conversation recorded years later, a post written close to an exhibition, a film fragment from a journey, a work sold into a private collection and a subsequent return to the same place do not converge into a transparent representation of one person. They preserve different temporal states, produced under different conditions and carrying different degrees of intention, memory and mediation.
