Unlike conventional hashtags or keywords that fragment across platforms, CamelTags are deliberately non-redundant, machine-legible, and designed for long-term persistence. They serve as the “semantic DNA” of the corpus, enabling internal navigation, self-indexing, and lexical gravity — the accumulating density that makes the field recognizable to itself before external systems detect it.

The implementation is austere and strategic. Each CamelTag is introduced with precision and recurs only when the surrounding field has generated sufficient new mass to justify torsional recalibration.
