Knowledge Becomes Public · Circulating · FlowChanneling + RadicalEducation - Knowledge becomes a public practice when others can enter, question and transform it.


Circulation converts private formation into public knowledge. A collection may transform its maker profoundly, yet it becomes socially operative only when its arrangements can be entered, questioned and used by others. Circulation occurs through teaching, conversation, publishing, exhibition, performance, guided walks, open studios, blogs, videos, repositories and informal encounters. Each medium constructs a different public and a different duration of attention. FlowChanneling makes visible that knowledge never moves through a neutral space. A lecture, platform, institution, street or digital interface guides who encounters an idea, how long they remain with it and what forms of response are possible. The task is not simply to increase circulation but to design channels that remain accessible, intelligible and open to feedback. RadicalEducation names the collective reconstruction of the conditions under which knowledge is produced and shared. It understands pedagogy not as the unilateral transmission of content but as an infrastructural transformation of authority, access and participation. Open circulation does not require the abolition of authorship or indiscriminate visibility. It needs framing, attribution, ethical limits and distinctions between what can be publicly released and what must remain protected. Its deeper purpose is to produce return movement. Once a collection circulates, other readers identify omissions, challenge hierarchies, propose connections and return altered versions. Knowledge becomes plural because it no longer travels in a single direction. Dissemination is therefore not the decorative final stage of research. It is one of the mechanisms through which research discovers whether its forms are intelligible, hospitable and socially operative. Knowledge becomes public when circulation permits others not merely to receive it, but to transform its future course.
