PostdigitalTaxidermy

PostdigitalTaxidermy names the preservation of obsolete, damaged or transformed digital forms by fixing them into new cultural bodies. Aura, tertiary retention, media archaeology and technological afterlife converge when interfaces, images or protocols survive beyond their original function as curated remains, screenshots, emulations or material reconstructions. The operator distinguishes living use from preserved afterlife.
