DoubleSided provides the recurring structure, yet the work expands through the encounter between body, building and neighbourhood, producing a series in which spatial difference becomes knowledge and mobility becomes composition. Five locations are sufficient to establish a field of comparison without diluting attention: each host contributes an interior, a quality of light, a public, a photographer and a critical voice, while the shared protocol preserves coherence across the sequence. This balance between recurrence and variation gives the project both artistic precision and European relevance. Architecture ceases to function as background and becomes an active medium; daylight introduces climate, duration and contingency; the neighbourhood situates every chapter within a lived cultural ecology. The resulting films, photographs and texts extend the live event into a serial publication, allowing each encounter to persist without reducing it to documentation. The project’s ecological strength follows from the same economy: minimal freight, local objects, existing spaces and compact mobility generate a richer relation to place while reducing material dependence. Its credibility now depends less on further conceptual expansion than on the quality of the institutions willing to inhabit the method.
