Portable Gestures and Situational Fixers (2010–2025)

Across fifteen years and over 1.5 million cumulative viewers, Anto Lloveras’s Socioplastics develops a canon of transdisciplinary art grounded in gesture, care, and place. Works like The Blanket and Mudas reinterpret affect and vegetal decay as rituals of memory; Broth and El Dorado engage the epistemology of care and shared value through minimal, activated objects. In Yellow Bag, Green Briefcase, and Blue Bags, color and portability become political forms—each situational fixer unfolding as a relational tool for context-specific redefinition. Re-(t)exHile, at the Lagos Biennial, sutures textile exile with postcolonial material circuits. Spanish Bar and Cosmotidiano reframe local architecture and domestic space as mutable, planetary environments. Cadáver Exquisito and LACALLE stage collective and sonic performance rituals in civic spaces, while Taxidermy Series (I–III) and MEAT operate through subtraction, remainders, and urban cuts. Together, these works form the core of Socioplastics—a practice where minimalism meets mobility, and each form becomes a sociopolitical prosthesis. As part of the Unstable Installation Series and the larger United Nations of Art, the archive proposes an ongoing, non-monumental aesthetic based on presence, instability, and embodied transformation.
