ArchiveFatigue

ArchiveFatigue names the exhaustion produced when records accumulate faster than they can be maintained, interpreted or activated. Entropy, information overload, maintenance and digital exhaustion converge when preservation—an unread manuscript collection, an unindexed institutional archive or an expanding cloud repository—begins to obstruct access. The operator distinguishes abundance from usable memory.
