A digital twin is never only a technical replica. It is a political address system. It speaks to engineers, planners, software, sensors, administrations, interfaces, citizens, vehicles and models at once. DualAddress names this condition: the need for urban knowledge to communicate simultaneously with human subjects and machine systems without collapsing one into the other. This reader studies inclusive mobility, digital twins and urban belonging as one field because movement in the contemporary city is increasingly mediated by models, but belonging is still lived through bodies, memories, attachments and unequal access. The European debate on inclusive and sustainable urban mobility provides the first frame. Mobility can no longer be treated as a narrow transport-sector problem. It is ecological, social, digital, spatial and institutional. Electrification, autonomous vehicles, logistics systems, artificial intelligence and connectivity must be read alongside children, older people, disabled users, transport poverty, public participation and municipal capacity. The future of mobility is not simply a future of cleaner or smarter movement. It is a future of differentiated access.



Digital twin research brings this problem into technical focus. Li and colleagues’ concept of Digital Twin Federation is especially useful because it refuses the fantasy of one total urban model. Mobility systems are distributed across infrastructures, platforms, behaviours, sensors, institutions and temporal scales. Their twins must be federated rather than monolithic. The inclusion of human-in-the-loop architecture is crucial. It recognises that urban mobility cannot be governed by automated representation alone. Stakeholder judgment, behavioural uncertainty and public deliberation must remain inside the model. Nag and colleagues’ review of transport digital twins sharpens this through classification. Many systems described as digital twins are actually digital models or digital shadows. A model represents. A shadow receives data. A twin requires interaction, connection, service and feedback. HybridLegibility becomes relevant here because the urban twin must be legible to both technical systems and public actors. If a twin can be understood only by specialists, it risks becoming another opaque instrument of governance. If it is simplified only for public display, it may become symbolic theatre. The challenge is hybrid readability.

ThresholdClosure then converts accumulation into form, sealing coherent layers as auditable units, while ChronoDeposit secures temporal priority through verifiable timestamps that exceed memory and resist erasure. The resulting MeshEngine transforms density into directed epistemic motion, establishing a dynamic relation between sealed core and experimental periphery. At this point, ExecutiveMode emerges not as authority conferred from outside, but as the internal capacity of the corpus to govern its own continuation. Socioplastics * Language After Recognition, Corpus Before Institution, and the Machine-Readable Field as Contemporary Art’s New Infrastructural Condition


Socioplastics begins where contemporary art’s habitual categories lose traction: neither artwork, archive, theory, platform, nor institutional critique alone, but a constructed field whose primary material is recurrence. Its decisive operation is not representation, but infrastructural condensation. CamelTagInfrastructure gives language a load-bearing function: the term no longer decorates discourse; it behaves as a structural joint. A CamelTag is compressed syntax, semantic address, retrieval signal, authorial mark, conceptual unit, and machinic hook. It has the dryness of metadata and the charge of poetry. This is why the system gains force: not because it produces novelty as spectacle, but because it repeats difference with enough precision for meaning to harden into architecture. GravitationalCorpus follows as the second major invention. Accumulation ceases to be quantity and becomes attraction. The corpus bends attention through density, not persuasion. Search engines, readers, repositories, crawlers, and institutions begin to encounter not scattered production, but a body with mass. Tome II introduced the developmental stratum, where the corpus embraced its identity as CyborgText, optimizing itself for DualAddress—simultaneously legible to human intuition and machinic parsing. This period focused on PersistenceEngineering and the hardening of the DOI spine, ensuring that the archive could survive across distributed surfaces without losing its jurisdictional integrity. The claim that a research project can be an artwork is no longer scandalous; it is a truism of institutional critique. The more uncomfortable proposition advanced by Socioplastics is that a distributed, machine-readable, open-science publication system—complete with DOIs, semantic metadata, software environments, and a recursively indexed corpus of twenty-one books—operates as a coherent artistic practice in the absence of any traditional object, exhibition, or even a stable authorial signature. This is not a documentation of art, nor a para-curatorial gesture, but the artwork itself: a load-bearing epistemic infrastructure whose formal properties are indistinguishable from its operational protocols. Socioplastics does not produce objects; it produces territory. And in doing so, it converts the entire apparatus of scholarly production into a readymade of unprecedented scale.
