Topolexical Sovereignty names the operative capacity of Anto Lloveras’ Socioplastics to constitute, stabilise, and govern an autonomous epistemic territory through recursive acts of naming, indexing, structuring, and circulation. Combining topos as produced territory, the lexical as a system of differential designation, and sovereignty as control over the conditions of legibility, the concept transforms language from descriptive medium into infrastructural agency. Its significance therefore lies not in philosophical ornamentation but in protocol: operators such as CamelTagInfrastructure, SemanticHardening, ScalarArchitecture, and GravitationalCorpus enable a corpus exceeding 6,000 nodes to function as a self-reproducing, machine-readable, searchable, and citable environment. Repetition hardens terminology; metadata secures addressability; cross-linking produces relational density; and scalar accumulation generates qualitative effects analogous to urban mass, archival stratification, or gravitational attraction. The resulting LegibleArchive is not a passive repository but a governed field in which memory, discovery, and extension are technically conditioned. This becomes especially evident in Tome VI, or FieldEnvironment, where quantitative proliferation crosses an infrastructural threshold: the corpus ceases merely to contain propositions and begins to generate its own conditions of visibility and reproduction. Its crossing matrix—spanning Lefebvre, Saussure, McLuhan, Foucault, Deleuze, Derrida, Kosuth, Haacke, Luhmann, and Koolhaas—does not establish singular genealogies but synthesises heterogeneous logics into a coherent operational ecology. Topolexical Sovereignty thus reframes authorship as field-building: in a post-platform order governed by external algorithms and institutional capture, sovereignty resides in engineering the terms, indices, identifiers, and grammars through which a body of work can persist, circulate, and reproduce itself.

Place is not known only through representation. It is known through atmosphere, repetition, bodily exposure, memory, sensory attention and the traces left by use. SensoryTrace names this mode of knowledge. It captures the residual contact between body and environment: the way a street is remembered by sound, a threshold by light, a neighbourhood by smell, a public space by trust, a route by fatigue, or a lost home by trauma. This reader builds the sensory and methodological chamber of Socioplastics. Jane Jacobs opens the field with the sidewalk. The “eyes on the street” are not simply a planning slogan. They describe an ecology of informal attention produced by mixed uses, small transactions, active frontages, children, shops, dwellings, time and public trust. Urban order emerges from ordinary complexity. Jacobs turns everyday observation into method. She gives the city back to those who inhabit it, watch it, use it and repair it through routine.



Tuan’s Topophilia adds affective depth. Place is not a container of activities. It is charged by love, fear, memory, symbolic value, cultural training and embodied experience. Environmental perception is never purely optical or functional. It is emotional and cultural. SensoryTrace therefore does not record neutral impressions. It records the ways in which environments become meaningful to bodies and communities over time. Fullilove’s root shock introduces the traumatic edge of place. Dispossession damages the connective tissue of community. When neighbourhoods are destroyed, the injury is not only spatial. It affects memory, institutions, social networks, collective action and psychological continuity. This is crucial because atmosphere is not always pleasant. Atmospheres can be wounded. A city can carry the trace of demolition, exclusion, fear or abandonment. SensoryTrace must therefore include loss.


Böhme’s aesthetics of atmospheres provides the conceptual centre. Atmosphere is the felt quality of space between subject and object. It emanates from things, arrangements, lights, sounds, materials and bodies, but it is realised in perception. It is neither merely subjective nor purely objective. This makes it a rigorous urban category. Architecture, scenography and public space are always producing atmospheres, even when they claim to produce only function. The stage set becomes a paradigm because it openly composes mood, orientation and presence.

Thibaud gives this atmospheric thinking an urban method. Ambiance is produced through sensory experience, built environment and bodily activity. Walking is not merely movement within the street. It participates in making the street. The passer-by alters the ambiance by moving through it, attending to it, slowing down, avoiding, gathering or drifting. This aligns with Socioplastics as a reading practice. A corpus is not only consulted. It is traversed. The reader leaves a route through it.

Sarah Pink’s sensory ethnography formalises this as research. Knowledge is produced through smell, touch, sound, movement, media, imagination and participation, not sight and speech alone. Sensory method is especially relevant to urban and architectural research because the built environment acts before it is explained. One feels scale, friction, exposure, comfort and disorientation before one translates them into language. Borgman’s Big Data, Little Data, No Data adds the infrastructural counterpart. Sensory knowledge must still be stored, described, attributed and made reusable. This is where LegibleArchive and RawIndex enter as secondary operators. RawIndex names the substrate: the gathered material before interpretation fully stabilises it. LegibleArchive names the organised field through which that material becomes findable without losing context. VibrantRecord names the active record that continues to affect the field after capture.



For Socioplastics, SensoryTrace is more than an aesthetic operator. It protects the corpus from pure abstraction. A field made of texts can still carry atmosphere if its writing preserves contact with body, place, fatigue, temperature, walking, shade, memory and repair. The reader layer itself becomes a sensory infrastructure: a way to prevent bibliography from becoming dry inventory. Each reference carries a mode of perception. Jacobs brings the sidewalk. Tuan brings attachment. Fullilove brings trauma. Böhme brings atmosphere. Thibaud brings walking ambiance. Pink brings embodied method. Borgman brings scholarly infrastructure. At 6K, Socioplastics must remain inhabitable. Density alone can suffocate. SensoryTrace asks how the corpus feels as a field: where it opens, where it thickens, where it allows drift, where it repairs orientation, where it becomes too opaque. Knowledge infrastructure is not only technical. It has atmosphere. The task is to make an archive that can be entered bodily, conceptually and machinically without losing its lived charge.

Mobility data justice begins from a simple displacement: transport should not be judged primarily by movement, but by access. A city is not just because it contains roads, vehicles, apps, dashboards or modal options. It becomes just when differentiated persons can reach work, care, education, health, food, shade, public life and social connection without excessive cost, risk, waiting, exclusion or bodily exposure. CitationalCommitment names the ethical obligation to account for what is counted, who is cited by data, who is omitted, and how mobility evidence becomes public responsibility. The ITF’s Sustainable Accessibility for All provides the normative centre. Accessibility shifts the question away from kilometres travelled and toward opportunities reached. This matters because mobility can increase while justice decreases. A city may become faster for some and more fragmented for others. It may optimise flows while deepening transport poverty. Access requires person-based and territory-sensitive metrics: age, income, gender, disability, household structure, settlement pattern, service availability, temporal burden and digital connectivity all matter.


Behrendt and Sheller’s concept of mobility data justice deepens this by showing that movement now generates data almost continuously. Ticketing systems, navigation apps, shared mobility platforms, sensors, vehicles, road infrastructures and environmental monitoring systems all produce traces. But datafication is uneven. Some movements are over-visible and surveilled. Others are absent, informal, too complex or institutionally ignored. MetadataSkin becomes important here because the outer informational layer attached to mobility users can determine how they are represented and governed. The skin is not superficial. It mediates access, risk and recognition. Recent work on mobility equity metrics attempts to formalise fairness within intelligent transportation systems. Bang and colleagues propose a metric combining service accessibility and transport cost, using distributional tools to evaluate fairness. Such work is valuable because it pushes equity into system design rather than treating it as a rhetorical appendix. Yet CitationalCommitment also asks what every metric leaves outside. A Gini coefficient may show distributional inequality, but it may not capture fear, heat, humiliation, disability friction, care work or attachment to place. Metrics must be treated as instruments, not substitutes for politics. AI-powered transportation digital twins add further complexity. Fu and colleagues describe cyber-physical transport twins with sensing, prediction, decision-making and feedback. Their distinction between a twin’s eyes and brain is useful: perception alone is insufficient without interpretation and response. But the political question remains: whose vulnerability does the twin detect? Vulnerable road users may be technically recognised while other vulnerable populations remain invisible. LegibleArchive becomes relevant because mobility data must not be only real-time flow. It must also preserve evidence, provenance, historical inequity and accountability over time. Climate makes mobility justice more material. Cabrera, Ziegler and Schläpfer’s work on targeted cooling of cycling networks shows that heat exposure concentrates unevenly across routes. A small portion of a network may generate disproportionate thermal burden. CDRI’s guidance on heat management in public transport similarly treats heat as an operational and equity issue. Shade, waiting, station design, vehicle comfort, hydration, surface temperature and elderly bodies become transport variables. Thermal stress reveals that access is never abstract. A route may exist and still be unusable under climatic pressure.

The shared question running through these texts is not simply how systems are built, but how abstraction becomes spatially operative. Sohn-Rethel gives the most severe epistemological formulation: abstract thought is not born in the pure interiority of mind, but in the social form of exchange, where commodity relations produce real abstraction before philosophy names it. Bowker and Star move this problem into classification, showing that categories are not neutral containers for knowledge but infrastructures that coordinate labour, produce visibility, distribute suffering and stabilise institutional memory. Latour’s account of inscription extends the same problem into scientific practice: facts travel because they are drawn, fixed, displaced, circulated and recombined through graphic and documentary devices. Deleuze and Guattari provide the counter-image to arborescent order: the rhizome, the assemblage, the book as machine, the field made from exterior relations rather than from a sovereign centre. Easterling then shifts infrastructure from technical substrate to political medium: zones, broadband systems, logistical formats and spatial products govern by disposition, by repeatable protocols, by the quiet power of arrangement. Mattern and Parks deepen the temporal and material register of this claim by treating media infrastructure as urban sediment, signal traffic, cable, tower, ruin, acoustic condition, civic substrate and historical residue. Together, the texts form a precise constellation: knowledge is never merely represented; it is supported, sorted, formatted, carried, exchanged, buried, exposed and made durable by the material grammars that allow it to circulate. The problem is therefore not the opposition between abstraction and matter, but their mutual production. Abstraction works because it has sites, surfaces, standards, routes, diagrams, archives, classifications, media channels and infrastructural habits. Matter becomes epistemic when it is inscribed, named, transmitted, compared, indexed and made available to a public or institutional regime. The nexus is strongest where these authors dissolve the naïve hierarchy between idea and support. The support is not secondary. The category is not posterior to the world. The diagram is not an illustration after the fact. The zone is not only territory. The cable is not only technical. The book is not only content. Each operates as a device for arranging relations, and each relation modifies what can count as knowledge, evidence, locality, memory or public fact. This is why the field belongs together: it reads infrastructure as the hidden morphology of thought, and thought as an infrastructural event whose forms are never innocent.

Total Field



Socioplastics is not a list of concepts but a verifiable organism of transformation: it attracts, scales, indexes, metabolises, closes, opens, cites, digests, governs, educates, executes, couples, preserves, distributes, and returns. This claim requires demonstration rather than assertion, and that demonstration is the field itself: its mass, anatomy, respiration, temporal delay, archival surfaces, urban exposures, and capacity to remain findable after every transformation. GravitationalCorpus gives the system its mass, so that texts, nodes, diagrams, DOI anchors, indexes, platforms, books, tomes, citations, and deposits cease to accumulate as debris and begin to bend interpretation. That mass requires orientation. ScalarArchitecture, NumericalTopology, VerticalSpine, MasterIndex, and ConceptualAnchors organise scale, sequence, column, inventory, and points of return, allowing the corpus to be crossed without reducing it to administrative mapping. Yet a field does not exist merely because it can be traversed; it must remain legible. MetadataSkin, LegibleArchive, SyntheticLegibility, DualAddress, and CyborgText make the archive partially understandable, humanly interpretable, and machine-parseable, preserving density without demanding absolute transparency. The field’s durability depends on its internal temporality. EpistemicLatency protects the interval in which the corpus already possesses structure before recognition arrives, the period when the field is real but not yet visible. The field’s autonomy appears when it no longer waits for external authorisation. Legibility


Within Socioplastics, legibility ceases to be a cosmetic attribute of publication and becomes an infrastructural condition of thought. The distinction between the generic keyword and the CamelTag is therefore decisive: the former disperses into semantic noise, whereas the latter functions as an operative lexical constant whose repetition across titles, metadata, slugs, and citations produces continuity, recall, and machine tractability. SemanticHardening secures this constant at inscription, binding meaning to a stable node, a DOI, and a repeatable recurrence pattern, thereby transforming terminology into structural support rather than descriptive ornament. From this foundation emerges GravitationalCorpus, the moment at which accumulated textual density acquires sufficient mass to generate discoverability without solicitation. Here, attention is no longer captured through promotion or institutional mediation, but curved through the sheer density of cross-references, persistent identifiers, temporal depth, and platform redundancy. DualAddress operationalises this principle by dividing durability across two coordinated surfaces: the DOI as fixed citational anchor and the Blogspot slug as serial, mutable terrain.
