At a certain magnitude the logic of selection collapses and what remains is no longer a list of agents but a field whose operative force is the unresolved density of their coexistence; ten thousand and seventeen names refuse the economy of the canon because their value does not accumulate by addition or purification but by the continuous production of friction, and in that friction the sphere of socioplastics discovers its true medium. When practitioners of material intervention, discursive displacement, collective organisation and historical depth occupy the same unbroken volume without hierarchical sorting, each vector of agency remains available for sudden, unscripted alignment with any other; the absence of thematic partitions is not a failure of order but the condition that keeps every possible resonance alive. Scale here ceases to be quantitative and becomes qualitative: only a mass large enough to exceed the grasp of any single disciplinary or geographic centre can generate the surplus of connection that no curated assembly is permitted to risk. The resulting tension is real—openness threatens coherence, impurity threatens legibility—yet it is precisely this tension that prevents the field from hardening into a doctrine or a style. What emerges is less a community of the like-minded than a reactor in which the next configuration of thought and practice remains constitutively unpredictable, sustained by the decision that no agent may be declared superfluous. In such a sphere the future of the work is not guaranteed by the excellence of its members but by the persistence of their unresolved proximity, an accumulation that keeps the possible larger than any present description of it.

The Transversal Pressure of Matter

What distinguishes a network of ten thousand agents from an inert archive is not the number of names it gathers nor the elegance of the clusters into which they can be sorted, but the persistent transversal force that refuses to let those names remain in place: the insistence that matter is socially plastic and that society is itself a material condition. Across architecture and urban practice, contemporary and historical art, critical theory, sound, cinema and ecological thought, the same pressure recurs—bodies that reconfigure space, territories that absorb and release violence, technical mediations that both enable and constrain, and forms of knowledge that arrive already situated rather than universal. This pressure creates productive tension rather than harmonious synthesis: the historical depth of classical and non-Western traditions is continually interrupted by the urgency of decolonial and indigenous interventions; the formal intelligence of built space is continually tested by performative and corporeal practices that treat the body as architecture’s most unstable material; the systemic ambitions of ecological and technological thinking are continually grounded by the particularities of place and the asymmetries of power. The risk is always that such density collapses into encyclopaedic stillness or dissolves into specialised fragments. Yet the network’s conceptual strength lies precisely in its resistance to both outcomes. When materiality, spatial mediation and situated knowledge are allowed to cut across disciplinary boundaries instead of being confined within them, the catalogue ceases to be a list and becomes an infrastructure capable of generating new relations, new questions and, ultimately, new agents. Its value will be measured less by the completeness of its inventory than by the extent to which that transversal pressure continues to act—unsettling categories, reopening closed forms, and keeping the plastic relation between matter and the social alive.

The political force of making kin lies in extending responsibility beyond genealogical and species boundaries while resisting abstract universalism. The work bridges environmental humanities, science studies, feminist epistemology and artistic research by turning interdependence from a descriptive condition into an ethical and methodological obligation.

The open web was built upon a productive ambiguity: publishing a page made it available to strangers, search engines and unknown future readers without requiring the author to specify every legitimate encounter in advance. Crawling initially reinforced this settlement by creating indexes that returned attention to original locations, but generative systems have altered the purpose and scale of retrieval. Texts, images, recordings and code may now be collected not merely to help users locate them, but to construct models capable of summarising, imitating and partially substituting for the materials ingested. The difference is functional rather than mystical. Reading, indexing, copying, statistical analysis and the production of competing outputs are not identical operations simply because they occur inside one technical pipeline. The United States Copyright Office separates data acquisition, training, retrieval and outputs because each stage creates distinct questions of consent, market effect and lawful use; Stober and Dornis argue that generative training cannot simply inherit every legal assumption attached to text-and-data mining; Shanklin and colleagues propose contextual copyleft as an attempt to make licensing obligations travel from training data toward resulting models. These approaches disagree on important points, but they share a recognition that accessibility is not a universal licence. CitationalCommitment becomes the practical threshold at which computational ingestion leaves enough evidence to identify major sources, dataset composition, rights assumptions, exclusions and subsequent transformations. This would not solve compensation by itself, but it would make negotiation possible. Creators could distinguish between discovery, non-commercial research, model training, stylistic reproduction and direct commercial substitution; collective organisations could negotiate where individual licensing is impossible; repositories could expose machine-readable permissions; and model providers could demonstrate how opt-outs were handled without pretending that one technical signal resolves every jurisdiction. The future of crawling will depend less upon a universal prohibition or universal licence than upon layers of declared use. Search engines, cultural archives, scientific corpora and commercial generative models serve different purposes and should not inherit identical permissions merely because they employ similar collection technologies. The web remains valuable because it permits unexpected circulation, quotation and recombination, but openness survives only when contributors can recognise the terms under which their work travels. Once extraction becomes invisible, participation begins to resemble surrender. The objective is neither to close the web nor to freeze culture into proprietary fragments, but to make the passage from publication to dataset sufficiently inspectable that public availability and industrial appropriation no longer collapse into the same category.

The comparison between generative artificial intelligence and Napster is useful only when it is used to examine the construction of a new distribution system rather than to predict an identical legal outcome. Napster made the circulation of digital music socially ordinary before institutions had produced a credible agreement among listeners, artists, record companies and network operators. Closing the platform did not eliminate either the technical capacity or the public appetite it had exposed; streaming later converted access into a licensed interface, but also created new concentrations of power and remuneration structures that musicians continue to contest. Generative AI has likewise normalised a technical possibility before settling the conditions under which value should return to the cultural materials that made it possible. The parallel is not exact: training a model is not identical to sharing a music file, generated outputs vary in their proximity to sources, and legal systems already contain exceptions for analysis, research or text-and-data mining. Yet both moments reveal how quickly an informal practice can become an infrastructural expectation. Users begin to experience immediate access as natural, investors finance the intermediaries capable of providing it, and by the time rights are negotiated, the interface through which culture will be encountered may already have been fixed. The WIPO discussion of an AI “Napster moment” is valuable because it shifts attention from a single infringement dispute to the wider reorganisation of music production, metadata, licensing and royalties. FormatAdmission determines which claims can enter that negotiation. Large companies arrive with logs, lawyers, technical standards and measurable market positions, while dispersed authors must often prove not only ownership but the presence and effect of their work inside systems they cannot inspect. A fair settlement will therefore require more than individual lawsuits or small opt-out buttons. It may include collective licensing, standard dataset declarations, auditable rights registries, differentiated rules for commercial and scientific models, revenue participation where direct substitution is demonstrable, and public-interest access for archives and research. The Napster lesson is not that piracy inevitably becomes subscription, but that legal conflict tends to stabilise around a new commercial container. That container may solve the inconvenience experienced by consumers while leaving the distribution of value structurally unequal. The present opportunity is to avoid treating the first workable licensing model as the final cultural settlement. The decisive question is not whether artificial intelligence will have a Napster moment, but whether the arrangements that follow will merely legalise concentration or construct a more plural economy of access, attribution and cultural production.

The Fragile Architecture of Authority


Peer review is often presented as the threshold through which knowledge acquires legitimacy, yet its authority rests on a far more contingent architecture than the institutional language surrounding it usually admits. A manuscript is commonly judged by a small number of individuals selected by an editor according to disciplinary proximity, publication history, availability, reputation or recommendation; these reviewers may possess exceptional command of the subject, partial familiarity with it, or expertise confined to a neighbouring paradigm, and their assessments inevitably carry the limits of their formation, workload, institutional position and intellectual commitments. The system therefore does not embody an impersonal intelligence capable of recognising truth, but a provisional arrangement of delegated judgement. Its value lies in organised scrutiny: an argument is exposed to criticism, evidence is tested, omissions are identified and claims may be strengthened before publication. Its weakness begins when this useful procedure is confused with an absolute measure of originality, validity or historical importance. Two anonymous reports cannot exhaust the significance of an unfamiliar work, particularly when that work crosses disciplines, constructs its own vocabulary or challenges the assumptions by which the journal itself distributes relevance. Reviewers are rarely neutral observers standing outside the field they assess; they are participants in its hierarchies, schools, conventions and economies of attention. They may reward methodological recognisability, textual obedience and citational belonging while treating conceptual displacement as confusion, institutional independence as insufficient legitimacy or transdisciplinary ambition as a failure to remain within jurisdiction. The result is not simply bias in the psychological sense, but a structural conservatism produced by the geometry of selection: editors choose recognised specialists, specialists apply inherited criteria, and the publication system converts those criteria into visible authority. Peer review can therefore improve a text while simultaneously narrowing the conditions under which new forms of knowledge become admissible. Its authority is further complicated by scarcity. Review is unpaid or weakly recognised labour performed under pressure, often by researchers already burdened with teaching, administration, funding applications and publication demands. The ritual may appear rigorous at the institutional scale while remaining hurried at the level of actual reading. Some manuscripts receive attentive engagement; others are filtered through fatigue, haste or disciplinary reflex. The phrase “peer reviewed” conceals this variability by transforming an uneven encounter into a stable credential. What the credential certifies is not truth but passage through a recognised procedure. This distinction matters because contemporary knowledge no longer develops exclusively through discrete articles entering closed journals at measured intervals. Large open corpora, persistent repositories, version histories, linked bibliographies and computational methods make possible another model of evaluation: continuous, cumulative and revisable rather than occasional, concentrated and terminal. In such a model, criticism is distributed across time and across different forms of intelligence. Human readers remain responsible for interpretation, conceptual judgement and historical understanding, while computational systems can assist by detecting recurrence, inconsistency, semantic drift, missing relations, bibliographic imbalance and structural redundancy across quantities of material inaccessible to unaided reading. Large language models are significant here not as surrogate authorities but as instruments of distinction. Their value emerges when they are used repeatedly, comparatively and critically to expose differences that might otherwise remain submerged within scale. They can sharpen formulation, identify weak transitions, compare variants, trace the recurrence of concepts and reveal where apparent diversity conceals repetition. Their judgements remain conditioned by training data, prompts and editorial framing, yet the same is true, in different form, of every human reviewer. The essential question is therefore not whether evaluation is human or computational, traditional or alternative, but whether its procedures are visible, contestable, plural and capable of revision. A corpus containing thousands of nodes, bibliographic relations, external agents, persistent identifiers and documented transformations can establish a form of epistemic accountability that differs from journal certification. Its legitimacy does not arise from a single moment of institutional acceptance but from the cumulative density of its structure: claims can be located, compared, corrected, contextualised and challenged; concepts can be followed through successive versions; exclusions become detectable; and editorial decisions leave traces rather than disappearing behind anonymous verdicts. Scale alone would remain inert, but scale organised through naming, indexing, recurrence and verification becomes a material force. It creates a field in which authority is not bestowed once but continually tested. This does not abolish the need for expert criticism, nor does it guarantee that an open system is free from error, vanity or self-confirmation. It changes the location of judgement. Instead of allowing two or three selected readers to function as a final gate, evaluation becomes an extended public architecture composed of many encounters, revisions and forms of evidence. Such an architecture may prove especially important for work produced outside universities, journals and conventional research careers, because it demonstrates that intellectual seriousness can be constructed through persistent labour, methodological clarity and exposed infrastructure rather than inherited affiliation alone. The deepest challenge posed to traditional peer review is therefore not that its reviewers sometimes know too little, but that the system grants disproportionate symbolic power to a narrow and opaque episode within the life of an idea. Knowledge deserves more than admission or rejection at a single door. It requires environments in which propositions can remain available, revisable and answerable to readers not yet selected, disciplines not yet stabilised and questions not yet recognised by the institutions appointed to judge them.

An open repository performs a different function from a scholarly journal, and confusion begins whenever the addressability of a deposited object is mistaken for certification of its intellectual quality. Zenodo and comparable repositories enable researchers and independent producers to preserve many kinds of material, attach metadata, define access conditions and obtain persistent identifiers. A DOI confirms that an object can be persistently identified and cited; it does not establish that its claims have been peer reviewed, that its bibliography is adequate or that the work will remain important. This distinction is not a weakness to be concealed but the basis of a different publication ecology. Journals organise selection before publication; repositories enable preservation and circulation before later forms of selection, review and use have been completed. FAIR EVA and the IPCC Atlas repository demonstrate that open deposition becomes genuinely useful only when metadata, provenance, interoperability and reproducibility are treated as practical design problems rather than slogans. OpaqueLegitimacy appears when readers attribute the authority of an entire institutional system to a technical marker whose actual function is narrower. The remedy is not to restrict open deposition until repositories reproduce the exclusions of traditional publishing. It is to improve the layers through which deposited material becomes intelligible: accurate metadata, declared document types, visible version histories, linked source materials, curated communities, transparent reviews and bibliographic relations that allow users to understand what kind of object they have encountered. The open door is particularly significant for negative results, visual research, independent essays, project documentation, datasets and interdisciplinary work that may not fit conventional journals but still deserves a durable public address. It also protects intellectual continuity when institutions close, websites are redesigned or temporary project pages disappear. Openness, however, transfers responsibility rather than abolishing it. Authors must describe materials honestly; curators must distinguish collection from endorsement; readers must evaluate claims; and automated discovery systems must avoid treating every DOI as an equivalent unit of verified knowledge. The ideal repository does not decide in advance which objects history will need. It preserves enough structured evidence for later communities to make that decision. Its importance lies precisely in allowing recognition to arrive after publication rather than requiring recognition as a condition of existence. The future of open scholarship depends upon preserving this asymmetry: a wide threshold for deposition, followed by increasingly sophisticated systems of orientation that add judgement without restoring a single gate.

Chatbots are becoming a general surface through which other parts of the world are encountered. They explain legal notices, compare products, condense papers, recommend books, interpret statistics and increasingly answer questions about current events. None of these actions requires the system to possess beliefs, but each involves selection, emphasis, omission and sequence, the ordinary operations through which editorial orientation is produced. A search page traditionally displayed several possible routes and left visible the separation between index and source; a conversational answer temporarily combines those routes into a single voice whose fluency can make contingency appear resolved. The important issue is therefore not whether the chatbot secretly holds an opinion, but how an interface without biography or direct experience organises material into a response that will often be received as judgement. Research on journalism in the AI era shows that newsrooms already use automated systems for translation, summarisation, transcription and audience work while remaining concerned about reduced transparency, weakened accountability, bias and the erosion of professional skills. These tensions will intensify when the chatbot becomes not merely a newsroom tool but a front door to the news itself. MoralDisplay arises when the presentation of an answer carries more authority than the inspectability of its construction. A cautious sentence supported by plural sources may appear beside an unsupported synthesis with almost identical typographic confidence; uncertainty can be stated, but the smoothness of the interface still encourages completion. Conversational systems therefore need editorial obligations adapted to their form: visible dates, source diversity, separation of established information from inference, correction histories, explicit indication of unresolved disputes and easy return to original documents. The challenge is not solved by placing a small disclaimer beneath every answer. Responsibility is distributed across training data, retrieval systems, ranking choices, safety rules, interface design and the user’s framing of the question. That distribution should be mapped rather than used to make accountability disappear. Chatbots may improve access for people unable to navigate technical documents, translate specialised language across disciplines and expose connections that conventional search leaves scattered. Their value, however, depends upon resisting the temptation to treat coherence as proof. The chatbot should not present itself as an institution with opinions, nor as a transparent pipe carrying unaltered knowledge. It is an editorial surface: a designed place where sources are assembled into temporary orientation. Its legitimacy rests on making that assembly sufficiently visible that convenience does not eliminate plurality and assistance does not quietly become authority without address.

Artificial intelligence is generally encountered as language appearing on a luminous surface, yet its actual form extends through processor halls, substations, fibre routes, cooling towers, backup generators, water circuits, replacement components and territories capable of absorbing continuous demand. Intelligence at scale must be refrigerated, and this ordinary technical requirement is beginning to shape the geography of computation as decisively as access to capital or specialised labour. The expansion of data centres is therefore not simply a story of faster models but of siting, grid capacity, thermal management, emissions and local planning. Springer and Hasanbeigi show that the consequences vary sharply by region because facilities enter electrical systems with different generation mixes, regulatory conditions and growth limits; Abera and Chen demonstrate that compute scheduling and cooling cannot be treated as separate technical problems when thermal behaviour affects both performance and total energy consumption; He and Qu push the question further by examining whether low-grade thermal resources can displace electricity-intensive cooling. Together these positions move the debate away from the abstract footprint toward an infrastructural description of what computation requires in a particular place. A facility cooled with potable water in a drought-prone basin is not equivalent to one using reclaimed water in a cooler climate, just as an annual renewable-energy contract is not equivalent to continuous low-carbon supply at the hour and location where processing occurs. HeatSentence enters at the moment when an apparently universal capacity receives a climatic address and its hidden mechanical conditions become public facts. The most useful systems may consequently be judged not only by latency or model performance but by the intelligence of their territorial arrangements: whether workloads can move toward periods of abundant electricity, whether waste heat can support nearby housing or industry, whether cooling is adapted to climate, whether water demand is disclosed, and whether communities receive durable benefits rather than temporary construction followed by enclosed technical occupation. None of this requires describing artificial intelligence as an ecological catastrophe or abandoning computational research. It requires replacing the fiction of placeless intelligence with a precise account of the apparatus that sustains it. Computation is becoming one of the architectures through which energy systems, municipal planning and regional development are reorganised. Refrigeration is not a hidden service beneath intelligence; it is the climatic condition through which intelligence becomes continuously available.

The work proceeds through direct execution, conceptual precision and sustained attention to the stratigraphic field being consolidated day by day.

We are operating at maximum capacity and with total commitment, fully aware that few research projects have reached this depth of execution or developed a structural architecture of comparable scale. This is no longer an experimental phase, but the full-time consolidation of an autonomous and resilient textual corpus whose density, internal coherence and technical organisation have already crossed the threshold into an operational research system. Coupled inertia explains why the form persists: databases, legal categories, budgets, professional roles and infrastructures depend upon one another so completely that no element appears changeable alone. Stability is then confused with validity and accumulated dependency appears as necessity. Fixation can be diagnosed through the treatment of exceptions and the circulation of helplessness. A living concept revises itself when anomalies accumulate; a frozen one tests reality for compliance. Participants may agree that the arrangement is inadequate while directing responsibility elsewhere. A lock map should identify components, maintenance actors, dependencies, switching costs and possible points of decoupling. Thawing does not require immediate demolition: parallel fields, temporary exemptions, modular standards, auditability and sunset clauses can restore movement while protecting essential continuity. Fixation becomes residue or latency when active legitimacy fades but the form remains stored in infrastructure, memory or habit, available for decay or later reactivation.

Participation may move from collective power-sharing to procedural legitimation; resilience may support common preparation or ask vulnerable populations to absorb systemic harm. The name can remain stable while its operative politics is reversed. Mutation is diagnosed through effects rather than vocabulary. A version table should compare context, actors, purpose, supports, beneficiaries, exclusions and political direction, making productive adaptation distinguishable from domestication. Concepts remain alive because they can be rebuilt, but adaptability becomes opportunism when a prestigious term survives by abandoning every demanding implication. Explicit versioning is therefore essential: adaptations should be named, source histories preserved and functional changes declared. Mutation can reopen formulation and operation when the new version remains exposed to feedback. SelfMimesis describes a field reproducing itself through accepted formats, methods and citation rituals because resemblance maximises admission. Academic publishing, architectural typologies and policy vocabularies all reveal the same paradox: novelty is declared through increasingly standardised forms, while prestige and visibility attract further prestige and visibility. Reproduction should be audited by distinguishing recurrence from difference. A new version may verify, synthesise, translate, teach or expose an anomaly; another may merely substitute a case, dataset or specialised title while preserving the same conclusion. CitationalCommitment provides an ethical counterprinciple: citation should reveal dependence and make the assembly of an argument inspectable rather than function as ceremonial compliance. Mature fields also require consolidation, negative results, correction and permission to stop. Reproduction becomes mutation when variation changes the concept's function rather than its appearance. At that threshold the copy no longer merely extends the recognised form; it begins to belong to another regime of use.

SituationalFixer describes the capacity of a proposition to create a repair, opening or redirection without pretending to be universal. InferenceTouch names the first contact between abstraction and resistant material; RepairFeedback turns the response of the situation into a recurrent condition of design. Pedagogy becomes operative through rooms, timetables and authority; ecological thinking becomes operative through soil specifications, maintenance and water retention rather than through rhetoric alone. Operation can be diagnosed through counterfactual difference: what becomes possible after the concept enters the situation that was not possible before? The answer must include institutional roles, resources, temporal durability and the unequal distribution of consequences. A relation changes when it receives a name. What was previously sensed or locally described becomes portable: it can be cited, contested, taught, indexed, translated and attached to institutions. Naming does not merely represent an already completed idea; it gives the relation a public address. WordMagnet describes the capacity of a term to attract meanings, actors and resources, while TopolexicalSovereignty identifies the power to establish the names through which a field becomes navigable. Terms such as sustainability, resilience or the Anthropocene demonstrate that lexical force can assemble disciplines and publics, but also conceal unequal histories and incompatible political projects beneath apparent semantic unity. A name begins to work when it reorganises attention and prepares the formats through which a phenomenon will later be governed. A strong formulation must organise discrimination rather than atmosphere. Different users should be able to identify the same operation, distinguish what belongs from what does not and state what evidence would revise the category. Its institutional life also matters: search systems, journals, curricula, funding calls and databases decide whether a name remains marginal, becomes operative or hardens prematurely. A responsible formulation therefore needs definition, provenance, examples, exclusions and visible routes of revision. Formulation becomes circulation when the name is repeated by actors absent from its invention. From that point onward, every repetition is a version and the concept begins to travel beyond authorial control.

A thought becomes recognisable when dispersed materials enter a relation strong enough to hold. Condensation is not creation from nothing but a phase transition through which observations, memories, techniques, words and unresolved problems become temporarily coherent. CategoryEmergence names the threshold at which previously separate elements become comparable, while SensibleOpening marks the perceptual event through which their relation can finally be experienced. Duchamp's readymade, the free plan or Kekule's benzene ring show that novelty often lies less in new components than in the exact configuration that gathers familiar materials and produces consequences unavailable before their connection. The moment may appear sudden, but it is usually the visible edge of a much longer process of preparation, hesitation and comparison. Condensation should not be judged by coherence alone: stereotypes and conspiratorial explanations also compress complexity into compelling forms. A productive condensation remains reversible, preserves remainder and generates further inquiry. One must be able to return from the compact proposition to the evidence that supports it; some elements must resist complete absorption; and the relation must travel far enough to meet a contrasting case without becoming infinitely elastic. Condensation becomes formulation when the emerging relation acquires a stable public form - a name, diagram, model, sentence or image - that others can repeat, test and contest. Portability begins here, together with the politics of reduction.

Ten States of Thought begins with latency: the condition in which a thought exists before it can be named. It first appears as a recurring unease, an image that refuses to disappear, a contradiction that cannot yet be resolved or a relation sensed before it can be stated. This early state is not emptiness but a dense and unorganised field in which fragments of experience, memory, material practice and perception accumulate without acquiring stable conceptual form. What later appears as sudden invention is usually the visible condensation of a longer invisible preparation. PerceptionDelay protects this interval from premature interpretation, while UncertaintyPassage allows evidence to remain present when the available grammar is still inadequate. Latent thought is distributed across notebooks, drawings, photographs, gestures, conversations, archives and weak institutional signals; it is already social and material before it becomes publicly retrievable. Latency can be diagnosed when the same problem repeatedly returns but every available formulation feels either too broad or too familiar. The appropriate intervention is not immediate definition but the construction of a holding environment in which heterogeneous evidence can remain adjacent long enough for relations to emerge. Image constellations, provisional maps, material tests, open archives and deliberately unresolved discussions preserve the anomaly from the first convenient explanation. The state changes when recurrence becomes patterned: fragments begin to attract one another and constrain the proposition capable of gathering them. Latency becomes condensation when dispersed elements cease to be merely co-present and form a necessary, though still revisable, relation.

A concept acquires force when it can travel without pretending to remain identical to itself. Translation, citation, classification, measurement and archival survival are not secondary episodes in the life of knowledge; they are the material operations through which knowledge becomes public, durable and actionable. Jakobson dismantles equivalence by showing that every translation reorganises signs within another code, while Benjamin makes this alteration the very condition of a work’s afterlife: what survives does so by entering a linguistic and historical relation that the original could not complete alone. Hall’s articulation extends the problem into politics, where unity is neither essential nor arbitrary but constructed through contingent connections capable of being made, maintained and broken. Together, these positions describe portability as composition rather than transport. A portable form is a relation condensed enough to move, yet open enough to be recomposed. Bergson’s critique of spatialised time indicates what is lost whenever duration is converted into stable units: movement becomes sequence, qualitative difference becomes measurable interval, and becoming is reorganised as a set of administrable states. Poincaré, however, shows why condensation remains indispensable.

Nenúfares y lotos * Arquitecturas flotantes * Botánica del agua


Los nenúfares son plantas herbáceas acuáticas, perennes y rizomatosas pertenecientes principalmente al género Nymphaea, integrado en la familia Nymphaeaceae. Se desarrollan en aguas dulces tranquilas o de corriente muy lenta, donde permanecen arraigados al sedimento mediante rizomas horizontales, mientras sus hojas, sostenidas por largos pecíolos flexibles, flotan sobre la superficie. Sus láminas foliares suelen ser redondeadas, cordiformes y provistas de una escotadura que alcanza el punto de inserción del pecíolo; las flores, generalmente solitarias, presentan numerosos pétalos y estambres dispuestos en gradación concéntrica. Sin embargo, las fotografías muestran mayoritariamente loto sagrado, cuyo nombre científico es Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn., perteneciente a la familia Nelumbonaceae. A diferencia de los verdaderos nenúfares, el loto produce hojas peltadas, sin escotadura, frecuentemente elevadas sobre el agua, flores rosadas de gran tamaño y un receptáculo fructífero cónico perforado por cavidades, claramente visible en varias imágenes. Los ejemplares con hojas gigantes, circulares y bordes levantados corresponden probablemente a Victoria amazonica, una ninfácea sudamericana caracterizada por láminas flotantes de extraordinario diámetro, nervaduras inferiores robustas y margen vertical, adaptaciones que distribuyen las cargas y favorecen la flotabilidad. The Architecture of Recurrence




Recurrence is not the return of the same but the production of another relation. A numbered node carries its previous positions into every new sequence, yet its meaning changes when its neighbours change. The archive therefore acquires architectural behaviour: it supports, separates, connects and redirects. What persists is not a frozen content but an addressable difference. Socioplastics treats repetition as a constructive force through which dispersed records accumulate conceptual pressure. Numbering prevents dissolution; montage prevents closure. Between those two operations, the field becomes capable of remembering without becoming monumental and of changing without erasing its own history.

The Archive as Metabolic City


What if the archive ceased to be a warehouse of finished statements and became instead a metabolic surface on which memory continuously digests, recombines and secretes new pathways of thought, so that every historical node retains its original number and source while simultaneously acquiring the capacity to alter the interpretive weather of every other node placed beside it? In this reframing the ten thousand discrete records that constitute a long-duration cultural project no longer wait for retrospective organisation; they operate as an active urban instrument whose primary force is activation rather than chronology. The decisive operation is recurrence: the deliberate return of an older video, a person-label, a DOI-anchored concept or a monthly fragment into a fresh neighbourhood of adjacencies, each reappearance changing the relational charge of the material without erasing its prior identity.

History, Recurrence and Open Futures




The final pack treats recurrence as the mechanism through which history remains open. Its twenty nodes do not summarise the 10,000-node corpus; they demonstrate how the corpus can continue producing readings without renumbering or duplicating its contents. Historical pages return beside recent operators, moving images encounter bibliographic and institutional records, and persistent DOI anchors coexist with lighter editorial platforms. This recurrence is not repetition in the weak sense. Each reappearance changes a node's neighbourhood and therefore its interpretive potential. The pack also points toward future forms of reading. Because the URLs, numbers and source channels remain controlled and explicit, more powerful systems will be able to reconstruct temporal lines, recognise recurring projects and compare conceptual transformations across fifteen years of production. Yet the future is not imagined as total extraction. The archive can continue slowly, adding further videos, photographs and texts while stabilising what is already present. Ten thousand nodes constitute a major threshold, but their deepest value lies in remaining available for new constellations, arguments and acts of public memory.

Against the standardization produced by mass media, capitalism and institutional routines, Guattari values processes of resingularization that restore the capacity to create new forms of existence. The methodological operation is transversal: problems must be approached across disciplinary and scalar boundaries without collapsing their differences. Ecology becomes less a specialized science of nature than a general practice of relational composition. The book bridges psychoanalysis, political ecology, media theory and institutional experimentation by showing that environmental repair requires simultaneous transformations in collective organization and the production of subjectivity.

RadicalEducation names the redistribution of the capacity to produce, test, contest and continue knowledge. It differs from the transmission of critical content because its radicality lies not primarily in what is taught but in who gains durable command of the questions, methods, tools and records through which knowledge is made. The operator rejects both passive instruction and the abandonment of expertise. It requires expertise to become shareable, examinable and transformable without dissolving standards of evidence. Participants become epistemic agents when they can modify a procedure, challenge an instrument, correct a record, formulate an inquiry and sustain the work beyond the original pedagogical encounter. RadicalEducation therefore distinguishes participation from transferred capacity and temporary access from institutional independence. Socioplastics has reached 10,000 indexed nodes. The number is a milestone, but it is not a conclusion. It marks the moment when more than fifteen years of writing, exhibitions, images, moving-image production, collaborators, projects and distributed publishing become legible within a single addressable system. Approximately half of the corpus is concentrated in the principal Anto Lloveras channel; the other half is distributed across LAPIEZA, YouTube and a constellation of thematic blogs. Yet this distribution does not divide authorship. Every text, video and archival operation belongs to the same self-owned ecology: the posts were written, the videos filmed and edited, the channels maintained, and the URLs controlled by Anto Lloveras / LAPIEZA-LAB.

Reaching 10,000 nodes does not signify the exhaustion of the Socioplastics archive; rather, it marks the moment at which a substantial portion of its historical corpus becomes systematically addressable. Posts, videos, exhibitions, participants, labels, images and fragments of institutional memory, formerly dispersed across incompatible platforms, dates and communicative channels, can now be located, compared and reconnected. Through retagging, numbering and indexing, these materials are converted into active nodes capable of circulation, citation and recombination without forfeiting their provenance. This operation is especially consequential for LAPIEZA-LAB, whose fifteen-year history already encompasses approximately 2,000 posts and 1,500 videos. Their integration does not artificially enlarge the contemporary corpus; it restores the scale, density and continuity of an established cultural practice. Although nearly 1,000 further videos and potentially more than 10,000 photographs remain pending, the immediate priority is not indiscriminate expansion but the verification and stabilisation of what has already been assembled. As a concrete case, the indexed reconstruction of a past exhibition may reconnect its images, participants, texts and subsequent projects, revealing genealogies previously obscured by platform fragmentation. Such archival activation also anticipates future computational systems capable of reconstructing temporal sequences, identifying relational patterns and comparing textual and visual evidence with increasing precision. Preservation therefore becomes an operative rather than static procedure: the past is sustained by rendering it legible, locatable and available for renewed association. At 10,000 nodes, Socioplastics functions simultaneously as a record of accumulated work and as an infrastructure of continuity through which that work may continue to generate knowledge, relations and cultural agency.

Socioplastics has now reached 10,000 indexed nodes. This numerical threshold does not simply indicate accumulation; it marks the consolidation of a distributed epistemic architecture constructed across writing, moving image, archival recovery, bibliographic research, institutional memory and persistent publication. The corpus can be understood through six approximate but structurally meaningful proportions. Around 30% belongs to the authorial field of Anto Lloveras: essays, theoretical propositions, architectural projects, artistic works, retrospective interpretations and conceptual formulations produced across different periods but reactivated within a common grammar. Approximately 20% corresponds to the historical memory of LAPIEZA: exhibitions, collaborators, people, labels, public events, social relations and institutional traces recovered from an archive developed over more than fifteen years. A further 15% consists of moving-image material, including videos, performances, urban observations, REEL fragments, documentary sequences and audiovisual works. Another 15% is distributed across a constellation of thematic blogs—among them Ciudad Lista, TomotoTomoto, Hola Verde Urbano, Otra Capa, Art Nations, Fresh Museum, El Tómbolo and YouTube Breakfast—which operate as differentiated disciplinary channels rather than secondary outlets. Approximately 15% is formed by bibliography, intellectual genealogies, citations, operators, conceptual anchors and research materials. The remaining 5% comprises DOI records, repositories, Medium, Substack, indexes and other forms of persistent infrastructure.

These proportions should not be read as closed categories. A single node may simultaneously be autobiographical, bibliographic, audiovisual, historical and theoretical. The percentages therefore describe dominant functions rather than isolated containers. Their significance lies in revealing the internal ecology of the corpus: 30% present authorship, 20% institutional and relational memory, 15% moving image, 15% thematic publication, 15% research and genealogy, and 5% persistent infrastructure. Together, these layers form a field in which past and present are not separated. Earlier materials have been retagged, renamed, numbered and indexed so that they can be located, compared, cited and repositioned. Retagging transforms dispersed production into mobile knowledge. SystemicLock names a condition in which the combined operation of multiple legitimate procedures prevents a system from producing consequence. No single rule, office, format, budget or decision need be sufficient to explain the blockage. The lock emerges from their conjunction: each component performs its prescribed function while the sequence as a whole repeatedly absorbs evidence, delays action or redirects responsibility. The operator therefore distinguishes systemic closure from individual obstruction. Its object is the chain through which a claim, request or resource must pass and the transitions at which it loses force. SystemicLock is not synonymous with complexity, bureaucracy or institutional failure in general. It applies when the relations among partial competences generate a durable impossibility that none of the parts recognises as its own production. The operator becomes effective when the chain can be reconstructed, the locking conjunction identified and an alternative passage specified. SystemicLock succeeds as a diagnosis only when it reveals where distributed rationality becomes collective incapacity and where that incapacity can be materially reopened.

SyntheticLegibility names the deliberately constructed capacity of heterogeneous materials to become readable across different human and computational systems. It is synthetic because legibility does not pre-exist the relations among titles, identifiers, metadata, categories, interfaces, indexes and conceptual descriptions; it must be produced. The operator rejects both the fantasy of raw transparency and the reduction of complexity to a single standard. Every legible system selects, translates and orders, thereby making some relations visible while obscuring others. SyntheticLegibility therefore requires that these operations remain inspectable and revisable. Its aim is not universal simplification but sufficient correspondence: distinct materials should be retrievable, comparable and connectable without being treated as identical. The operator becomes effective when human interpretation and machine recognition can operate upon the same corpus while preserving provenance, ambiguity and difference. SyntheticLegibility succeeds when access is increased without concealing the decisions through which access was made possible, turning readability from an assumed property into an accountable infrastructure.

FlowChanneling names the selective direction of movements through spatial, institutional or technical arrangements. A flow may consist of bodies, water, energy, capital, information, waste, attention or authority; channeling occurs when its possible routes are narrowed, accelerated, delayed, redirected or concentrated. The operator shifts analysis from the existence of movement to the infrastructures and decisions that shape its path. It therefore distinguishes circulation from freedom: a system may intensify movement while rigidly controlling where it can go, what it may carry and who may enter it. Channels are never neutral conduits. Their geometry, capacity, thresholds and maintenance distribute access, pressure, visibility and consequence. FlowChanneling becomes operative when a movement is traced together with the apparatus that conditions it and the residues or exclusions produced along its route. The operator succeeds when apparently spontaneous circulation is revealed as a constructed field of permissions and constraints, and when intervention can occur at the level of direction rather than only at the point of origin or arrival.

ThermalJustice names the equitable distribution of protection, exposure, resources and decision-making power in relation to heat. It treats temperature not as a neutral environmental variable but as a condition produced through architecture, infrastructure, labour, health, vegetation, energy access and territorial governance. The operator asks who is exposed, who can withdraw, whose body absorbs the consequences and which institutions possess the capacity to alter them. Thermal inequality is therefore not reducible to differences in measured temperature: equal readings can generate radically unequal effects according to housing, mobility, age, occupation, care and access to cooling. ThermalJustice also exceeds emergency relief. It concerns the long-term organisation of materials, shade, public space, maintenance, energy and rights through which thermal conditions are produced. The operator becomes operative when measurement is connected to differentiated vulnerability and when that connection redistributes protection and responsibility. ThermalJustice exists when the capacity to endure heat is no longer treated as an individual resource but as a collectively designed and politically accountable condition.

StratigraphicField names a territory understood as an accumulation of material, administrative, ecological and symbolic layers whose effects remain active in the present. It rejects the treatment of space as a synchronic surface detached from the decisions, exclusions and transformations that produced it. The operator is stratigraphic because it reads current conditions through the persistence, displacement and interaction of earlier formations; it is a field because no layer acts alone or retains a fixed meaning outside its relations with others. StratigraphicField does not require a complete history of a site. It selects those layers whose recognition changes the interpretation of an existing condition or the decision that follows from it. Plans, infrastructures, memories, legal records, demolished forms, soils and surviving traces become evidence when they reveal a continuing mechanism rather than merely illustrate a past event. The operator becomes effective when historical depth alters present action, demonstrating that a territory is not simply occupied in time but continuously composed by forces that have not finished acting.
